Gliding cocaine

This has to be one of the most beautiful sailplane videos on the web. I think this was filmed over Poland and you’ll see most of the flight is shot from a Puchaz trainer. Also great to see the Diana 2, probably the best 15m class sailplane out there. Enjoy this great video, watch them […]

Launch

This is one very interesting way of launching a glider. During World War II many of these wooden constructions were used to transport men and equipment, towed behind C-47 Dakotas. I don’t think this launch method was widely used since it is a bit extreme and one might argue, somewhat crazy. Anyway, here’s the video […]

Soaring over the Alps

I saw this and brought back some memories. Been two years since I last flew a sailplane. Anyway, here is some beautiful soaring footage taken from a DG-500 sailplane over the Alps. Some aerobatics and a great soundtrack make for a cool video.

Jantar beachrun

Here is another low level pass just a few feet above the water, this time performed by a Jantar sailplane. This is one very cool pass, when you think this guy was constantly losing speed during the pass.

Glider flyby

This vid was shot somewhere in Innsbruck. Seems to me this glider came in for a low flyby and it was quite close. Of course, the term low is in reference to the camera guy’s point of view. Anyway nice action.

Glider vs Soul Flyers

The ultimate outdoor movie? Hell, yeah!!! Check out crazy man Jean Loic Albert, one of the Salomon Soul Flyers, as he puts on his wingsuit and goes diving after a glider. I really like the part where he catches the glider’s wing. Really outstanding performance from both riders: Jean Loic Albert in the wingsuit and […]

Hitching a ride

This sailplane hitches a tow from a car. Looks like it even manages to take-off. Really interesting commercial. I wonder how long that crazy joyride was.
